Hitting Tech was founded as a result of research-driven discoveries that prove many consensus views regarding hitting to be misplaced. We believe there is a lack of understanding in the marketplace that encompasses the entire spectrum of mechanics, data analysis, and technology – all of which are required to solve complexity and provide effective, yet simplified solutions for hitters.

The Quant Tee is a patented product based on several years of in-depth research on swing path. The discovery of “Implicit Loft” (loft created an early or late contact point combined with vertical bat angle) has not been considered in the public domain, yet data and video suggest that it is being considered the game’s best hitters. As hitters change bat angles to adjust to different pitch locations, the sources of loft also change, thus requiring adjustments to “Explicit Loft” in order to achieve optimal performance. The Quant Tee is the only device presently on the market that considers all loft factors and provides hitters with the ability to see and feel optimal swing paths for each pitch location.

Market Acceptance

The first Quant Tee shipped in late December 2018. Since then, ten MLB organizations have started using the device as well as several D1 colleges (both baseball and softball), high-end academies, professional hitters, high school, and junior players – all the way down to 8U.

In the Spring of 2020, we successfully completed our project to get Vertical Bat Angle data from major league games to pair with batted ball data. We now have VBA on over 100K hits for the past two seasons.
